Leaf by Niggle – a story written by Tolkien – features Niggle, who had a long journey to make, which he did not like because in his view, it interfered with his painting. It would start out with him finding a place in this world for his paintings, and his love for it.
We would get a very vivid description of Niggle’s life, such as his impulses and his views and encounters with his friend Parish. Niggle would have a kind heart, which he had wished he did not have sometimes due to it landing him jobs outside of his painting. He would later make a couple of realizations, which you’ll find out eventually.
